The Humane Society of West Michigan will hold its fifth annual Bark in the Dark run/walk in October and participants can begin registering for the event now.
The Humane Society said anyone who registers by Friday can use the coupon code EARLYBIRD to receive a $5 discount on the registration fee. Tickets without the discount are $35.
Bark in the Dark takes place on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Riverside Park. The event includes a family and dog friendly glow-in-the-dark 5k and 1-mile fun run/walk.
All proceeds from the event benefit Humane Society of West Michigan, a non-profit that promotes humane treatment and responsible care of animals in West Michigan through education, example, placement and protection.
Schedule of Events
5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. – Registration/check-in and pre-race festivities including: a photo booth, face painting, give-aways and more
6:30 p.m. – Run/walk begins
6:45 p.m. – 9 p.m. – After the race stick around for our post-race celebration featuring a beer tent and complimentary treats. Each registered adult will receive a free drink for the beer tent. Friends & family will be able to purchase beverages using cash or card. Don’t forget your ID.
