Wiz Khalifa is coming to Grand Rapids this weekend to promote his cannabis brand.
The rapper will make an appearance on Saturday, June 25, at the Gage Cannabis Grand Rapids location, 3075 Peregrine Drive NE, to launch Khalifa Kush for the Michigan market.
Flint-based DJ KeyMitch said in a tweet he will lend his DJ services from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. during the launch event, with Khalifa himself expected to be there at 1:30 p.m.
Originally created for Khalifa’s own personal use, Khalifa Kush debuted with its first flower sales in 2016 at dispensaries in the southwestern U.S. Today, the brand is expanding to other markets and offering products such as flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles and concentrates.
Khalifa Kush flower products will be sold in Michigan only at Gage Cannabis locations.
Gage Cannabis said on Instagram the products will be available starting at 1:30 p.m. in Grand Rapids and at its other Michigan dispensaries starting at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
The cannabis retailer currently has 12 locations across the state.
