A new indoor cycling studio is coming to Grand Rapids.

Lunar Cycle has signed a lease to occupy nearly 2,000 square feet of ground-floor space along Grand Rapids’ Medical Mile, at 601 Michigan St. NE, according to Third Coast Development this month.

Lunar Cycle is co-owned by local attorney and entrepreneur Sara Grey and CKO Kickboxing Grand Rapids owner Shelby Reno.

The studio is scheduled to open in early 2020.

“I fell in love with indoor cycling years ago when a knee injury benched me from running, and I needed high-intensity workouts to manage the stress of a high-intensity life,” Grey said.

“We wanted to create a fresh space where people of every fitness phase can sweat it out, supercharge, shake off the daily grind, gain confidence, feel motivated and see real progress.”

The Lunar studio will feature 40 Schwinn AC Power indoor cycling bikes.

Schwinn-certified instructors will lead classes that range from beginner to advanced.

“Lunar Cycle will deliver an energizing, motivating indoor cycling experience in a live-studio format with tech feedback systems to increase intensity, improve performance and get results,” Reno said.

Third Coast’s 601 Michigan building was completed in 2016 and also features 18 residential units on the upper three levels.

“We are excited to offer this lifestyle product to the growing residential base we’re creating with our properties along the corridor,” said David Levitt, partner, Third Coast Development.

“Guests will have access to free parking at this location for their convenience.”
