Spooky drink specials, a costume contest, live DJ performances and more are returning to the B.O.B. for its annual Halloween celebration, the Maskarade Ball.

Taking place on Halloween night, doors will open at 8 p.m. and the festivities will start at 10 p.m. Guests are invited to visit earlier to enjoy dinner and use a $10 off food voucher included with the $40 admission ticket. Advance ticket holders should plan on arriving before 10 p.m. to ensure admission before venues reach capacity.

The main event of the evening is the costume contest. This year’s competition will be unique in that guests’ face coverings will be the deciding factor in determining a winner: the secret judges roaming the venues will be looking for the “best, most elaborate, most creative face covering/mask that ties into your entire costume.” A first and second place winner will be chosen. The first place prize is $500, while the second place winner will take home $250.

The party also will feature DJ performances in four different venues: DJ Jay Vee at Bob’s Beer Garden (9 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.), DJ Mark Witz at Eve (10 p.m. – 2 a.m.), DJ Kane at HOME (9 p.m. – 2 a.m.) and DJ Greg Knott at Bobarino’s (9 p.m. – 2 a.m.). Guests should note that there is an extra $10 cover charge for admission to Eve, and that doors to Eve will not open until 10 p.m.

To ensure the safety of everyone in attendance, there are several rules and disclaimers regarding the costume contest, venue admission, and COVID-19 precautions. These may be found on the event page at thebob.com, with more details available on the ticket purchasing page.
