If you’re craving a getaway, exploring Traverse City’s vibrant dining scene may offer the adventure you’re looking for. With close to 50 participating dining spots, Traverse City’s Restaurant Week promises a weeklong veritable smorgasbord of deliciousness, starting Sunday. From Feb. 25 to March 2, Traverse City’s top restaurants will be rolling out specials, giving diners a chance to sample a multitude of signature dishes at an affordable price.
“Restaurant Week always creates a huge culinary buzz, and this year it should be even bigger and better,” said Traverse City Tourism President, Trevor Tkach. “The chefs love to be challenged to create memorable dining experiences every day, but they especially shine this week.”
In collaboration with the Downtown Traverse City Association, Traverse City Tourism has put together a handy digital Restaurant Week passport, providing diners with essential info on participating restaurants and their menus. Diners who use the passport stand a chance to win $50 gift certificates, with those visiting two or more restaurants eligible for a Restaurant Week oven mitt at the Traverse City Tourism Visitors Center. Additionally, guests staying at Traverse City Tourism lodging partners can vie for grand prize gift certificates totaling $1,000.
According to Tkach, President of Traverse City Tourism, Restaurant Week is a boon for local eateries, particularly during slower periods. It not only showcases the region’s culinary talent but also helps attract year-round customers.
Given the event’s popularity, reservations are strongly recommended at all locations as Restaurant Week draws food enthusiasts from other parts of the state.
Special prix-fixe menus are available and priced at $25, $35, and $45, promising an unforgettable culinary journey that won’t break the bank.
