A Mexican restaurant in Grand Rapids is permanently closing on New Year’s Eve.
Taqueria San Jose, located at 1338 S. Division Ave. in Grand Rapids, posted a sign on its door on Tuesday, Dec. 28, that it will be closing permanently on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, 2021.
The restaurant is known for its affordable tacos starting at $1.99, tortas, burritos, quesadillas, and Mexican soft drinks and desserts.
It offered catering and takeout, in addition to dine-in counter service.
“Thank you for 11 years of support!” the restaurant said on the sign on its door. “We will miss you.”
