The Muskegon Summer Wine Up on Saturday will include food and wine pairings from a number of Muskegon-area restaurants and a food truck.

The second annual event will be held from 2-8 p.m. at Hackley Park in downtown Muskegon.

The Handsome Hobo Restaurant and Bar will be offering a sample menu that includes grilled swordfish kebob, shrimp ceviche, and a chef’s slate sampler of mean and cheeses, along with various wine pairings.

“Handsome Hobo’s will be selling food matched up with a specific wine sample that enhances the taste of the food,” said Rich Berry, the director of sales for Cumulus Media, the organizers of the Muskegon Summer Wine Up.

Berry said other food choices will be available at the Muskegon Summer Wine Up, including Tiki Boiz food truck, Soul Filled Eatery and Abeshi.

The list of participating wineries for this year’s Muskegon Summer Wine Up was released in mid-May and the seminar schedule came earlier this month.

“Food, wine and fun is our mantra,” Berry said. “It’s going to be a great time for everyone.”
