Margaux at the JW Marriott Grand Rapids is launching its “Women Who Whiskey” 2022 series starting this week.
The first installment, “Romantic Mixtures,” will be held 7-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at the JW Marriott Grand Rapids, at 235 Louis St. NW, with additional events “From Garden to Glass” and “Backyard Memories” scheduled for March 17 and May 19, respectively.
Host Greta Harper, of Loretto, Kentucky-based Maker’s Mark, will share the history of the popular spirit and its distilling process, teach guests the best practices for drinking whiskey and share whiskey-centric cocktail recipes “to impress family and friends during any occasion.”
Participants looking to make a night of the experience can make a dinner reservation at Margaux following the classes, the hotel said.
Tickets, available here, are $50 per class.
