Mother’s Day is just a little more than two weeks away and there are a myriad of events, lunch and brunch options from which to choose. Some on actual Mother’s Day (May 14) and some a little sooner:

Need to get a gift for your Mom or someone else special in your life for Mother’s Day? Or do you miss seeing your favorite makers at markets? 100+ makers lining this historical covered outdoor market. Rae and Mae (Sarena Rae and Mason) will be playing music. Food Trucks Around Baking Co, Patty Matters, Dune Buggy, Stovetop Roasters and Voyage Bowls will be on site. KenzieBe’s Non-profit will be serving alcohol as well!Kids are free, adults
Canned goods for The Other Way Ministries will be collected and some of the door fees will go to ‘Other Way’ as well as the Grand Rapids Pride Festival. Bring non-perishables to donate! $3 to get in. Cash and card accepted at the door!

Mother’s Day Succulent Bar & Craft Show
Muskegon Farmers Market, 242 W Western Ave, and Dreamscapes Succulents is having an annual Mothers Day succulent sale with more than 25,000 succulents to choose from. Everything on the succulent bar is $1 and there are many different varieties of plants to choose from.
Planters, succulents and potting soil can be purchased for $1 each. Or bring your own planters and decorations. Have some fun putting together your very own succulent masterpiece! In addition to the huge selection of beautiful succulents there will be a large variety of artisans and crafters. Food Trucks and drinks will also be available.

Downtown Sip N’ Shop hosted by Novo Chiropractic at 122 Monroe Center Street Northwest, Grand Rapids. This shopping event is located in the heart of Downtown Grand Rapids. Meet at the Atrium of Uccello’s and shop with 20+ local vendors while enjoying drinks, food, music and wellness. Check out local shops like Jack & Laurel and Modish Moth as well as local independent businesses like the Curio Candle Co. and so many more!
Attendees will have a chance to win one of 30 giveaways. The first 100 people through the door will receive a free gift and drink ticket (21+ years old). This event is free and open to all and intended to support Kids’ Food Basket. 100% of the proceeds collected at the event will be donated.

Tea Party Cookie Class, Sweet Details GR, 2166 Wealthy St. SE, Grand Rapids
Learn the tips and tricks of cookie decorating while celebrating mom with watercolor cards, cookie class, treats and tea, all in one!
You will be guided through the steps to create a custom watercolor card. You will learn the basics of cookie decorating while creating a set of 3 cookies. You will be guided with tips and tricks from a professional baker of 10 years and leave the class with the skills and confidence to wow your family and friends.
Included in the price are: supplies and instructions to create a watercolor card, baked cookies, icing and tools, icing practice sheet, step-by-step instructions as well as space for you to be creative, a box to take your cookies home, hot cocoa and tea bar, pastries and treats by Sweet Details GR, one seat at the class.
You will practice basic piping and flooding techniques and will walk away with a set of beautifully decorated cookies plus a custom card made by you.

Sip on a complimentary refreshment as you create your very own 12” x 10” tray to take home to share. Included in the workshop are all the meats, cheeses, and other goodies to build your take home charcuterie board, a snacking board to nosh on during class and hands on guidance as you build your beautiful board. Along the way, Barb Kasper will share tips and education on both the art and science of charcuterie!

Mother’s Day Lunches and Brunches
