Cascade Charter Township is rolling out the pastel carpet for a brand-new tradition this spring: its first-ever community Easter Egg Hunt, taking place Saturday, April 19, at Cascade Recreation Park, 3810 Thornapple River Drive SE.

Festivities kick off at 9 a.m., and the egg hunt begins promptly at 10 a.m. — no yolk, it goes fast!

This free, family-friendly celebration promises to put a little extra spring in West Michigan’s step. With over 14,000 eggs scattered across the park, it’s shaping up to be an egg-cellent morning for little bunnies of all ages.

Designed with families in mind, the event features:

  • A toddler-friendly hunt zone for the littlest egg seekers

  • Live bunnies (yes, real ones!) and the Easter Bunny himself

  • A live DJ to keep the mood hopping

  • Booths and activities from more than a dozen community partners

With adorable animals, colorful eggs, and a charming setting in Cascade’s beautiful recreation park, this event is practically begging to be captured on camera. Expect plenty of sweet photo ops and smiling faces as families gather to welcome the season.

Don’t forget to bring your own basket — and arrive early. This is one egg hunt you won’t want to miss.

Community partners making the magic happen include:

ALS, BODYBAR Pilates of Cascade, Culver’s of Cascade, D&W Fresh Market of Cascade, Doretha Ardoin (DJ), Family Friends Veterinary Clinic, Goldfish Swim School – Grand Rapids, Greenridge Realty, Meijer of Cascade, John Shipley, and Your Pets Naturally – Grand Rapids.

Cascade’s first Easter Egg Hunt may be new, but it’s already shaping up to be an egg-stra special annual tradition.
