Season finale: Mahler’s Titan

The Grand Rapids Symphony season ends where Mahler began — his first symphony!

The final concert of the season feature’s Mahler’s timeless work, appropriately named “Titan.” Also on the program is “Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Violins” featuring James Crawford and his wife, Megan.

The WORLD PREMIERE of Nina Shekhar’s “Hate the Sin, Love the Sinner,” a work that explores identity and uses both orchestral and electronic sounds will also be performed at this final concert of the 2022-2023 season.

The concerts will be performed Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20, each staring at 8 p.m. at DeVos Performance Hall.
