DESCRIPTION:GRTV of the Grand Rapids Community Media Center and the Grand Rapids Public Library invite community members to a “media literacy summit” Saturday\, May 13\, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.\, which will take place at the Wealthy Theatre\, 1130 Wealthy St. SE. \nThe event will feature four different immersive workshops that educate participants about the media creation process. These workshops include podcasting\, stop motion animation\, video production and zine making. In addition to workshops and panel discussions\, attendees also have the option to watch the documentary\, “Trust Me” at 1 p.m. in the Wealthy Theatre micro cinema. \nFunding for this event was provided by the Grand Rapids Public Library Foundation.
