Film Society Roundtable

The Grand Rapids Film Society will hold a roundtable discussion on representation in films on Thursday, June 15.
The roundtable is intended as a networking event as well as a support group. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for mingling, and the roundtables will start at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and share and/or learn more in a safe and affirming space to share experiences, ask questions, and talk with peers.
Attendees will split into three different groups: Filmmaking, Cinephiles, Screenwriting. Each group will have around an hour and a half to meet your fellow group members, talk about production, writing, challenges you’re facing, ideas for the community, or your perspective on cinema.
People who wish to attend must register here by field of interest (ie. filmmaking, cinephiles, and screenwriting) or choose general admission. Choices are not finite.
The event takes place 6:30-9 p.m. at the Community Media Center’s Wealthy Street Annex, Front Studio (two buildings west of Wealthy Theatre), 1110 Wealthy St. SE, Grand Rapids.
