The Grand Rapids Public Museum announced a new virtual Santa experience.
Families can purchase a pre-scheduled visit from Santa through a live Zoom chat or purchase downloadable video messages.
“Knowing that many holiday traditions will likely look different this year, the GRPM is offering a safe way for families to visit with Santa,” said Gina Schulz, vice president of development for the GRPM. “The entire family will have fun with either a call from Santa directly or a customized message to play anytime you’d like. Each purchase also supports the museum’s ongoing exhibits and programs.”
Live Zoom calls from Santa cost $35 with an early-bird price of $30 per call. Downloadable Santa video messages cost $30 with an early-bird price of $25. Videos will be emailed to purchasers. Early-bird prices will be available through Nov. 1. Videos will be available for purchase through Dec. 13. Last-minute live Zoom calls will be made from Dec. 14-21 for $45.
Full bearded, singer and songwriter Santa Michael will play Santa Claus. He is a retired middle school teacher from Reed City Area Public Schools who has worked with children for over 30 years.
