Opera Grand Rapids is welcoming the new year with musical fireworks.
Roaring 2020 is scheduled for 9 p.m.-12:30 a.m., Dec. 31, at Betty Van Andel Opera Center, 1320 East Fulton St.
The theme of the party will be set in the 1920s. Patrons are encouraged to wear period costumes. Local restaurants such as Slows Bar BQ Grand Rapids, Love’s Ice Cream, MeXo and Martha’s Catering will be providing various food spreads, and complimentary beer, wine and signature 1920s-themed cocktails will be offered.
