Pioneer Resources’ third annual Kentucky Derby-themed event is going virtual.
The popular fundraising event, Hats and Horses, will celebrate its third year with a weeklong lineup of events benefiting Pioneer Resources programs.
“COVID-19 has had a significant impact on our organization and many other nonprofits,” said Jill Bonthuis, executive director of Pioneer Resources. “The support of our community is needed more than ever, so we may continue to offer programs for persons with disabilities and seniors.”
From Aug. 30 through Sept. 5, Hats and Horses will feature livestream videos, a silent auction, apparel sale, the best derby hat competition and more.
This year’s proceeds will help Pioneer Resources serve its mission of helping people with disabilities and assisting seniors in attaining independence by creating opportunities for participating in the community.
