The annual Michigan Irish Music Festival will be conducted virtually this year over the same weekend it originally was slated to occur in-person.

Entitled “Keeping Irish in Your Heart…Six Feet Apart,” the festival will take place Thursday through Sunday and feature musical performances and cultural presentations in celebration of the “weekend that would have been.” These will be viewable through the festival’s Facebook page.

Musical guests include Runa, Friel Sisters, Shane Hennessy, Dave Curley, Seamus Kennedy and many more. The cultural presentations will be a Songwriters Circle session with Ashley Davis and Baking with Babies, a kid-friendly cooking presentation by Shannon of Runa.

There also will be a photo/video contest with the winner receiving a family pack of weekend passes for the 2021 festival.

On the event’s Facebook page are lists of Irish Market and Irish Store vendors and links to their online businesses. These include Irish-themed shop Celtic Seasons and bakeries like Village Baker and Scotty Dotty Shortbread. Shoppers also can purchase the official “Irish There Was a Festival” T-shirts.
