If sipping a cocktail amidst a 170-year-old museum’s collection sounds like a good time, then you’re in luck. Grand Rapids Public Museum’s aptly titled “Museum Adventure After Dark” is an immersive experience that blends history, science, and culture into an evening of sheer enchantment.

“We are thrilled to offer this new evening event,” said Dustin Tyler, VP of Marketing and PR at the GRPM. “Museum Adventure After Dark provides an opportunity for adults to feel a little bit like a kid again as they explore the Museum, but now with a cocktail or mocktail in hand.”

The experience scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, 6 – 9 p.m. and is designed for guests ages 21 and up. Attendees will be able to wander through the museum’s storied halls while enjoying curated cocktails and elevated “camp” food as they engage in conversation with experts on topics ranging from paleontology to design thinking. Exclusive access to acclaimed exhibits such as “Mandela: The Official Exhibition” and “Fashion + Nature” offer a profound glimpse into Nelson Mandela’s remarkable journey and a thought-provoking exploration of the relationship between fashion and the natural world.

Tickets for Museum Adventure After Dark are priced at $50 per person, granting full access to the museum’s treasures along with tantalizing camp-themed snacks and a complimentary drink ticket. A portion of the proceeds will support the Grand Rapids Public Museum Foundation, ensuring continued access to educational programs and community outreach initiatives.
