“A Streetcar Named Desire,” a tragic drama by Tennessee Williams, is coming to stage at Grand Rapids Civic Theatre.
When a young woman moves from a small town to live with her sister in New Orleans, her extended stay proves too much for the sister’s husband and their rocky marriage, the theater said.
As her brother-in-law uncovers the truth behind her days as a schoolteacher in Missouri amid her dismissal of reality for romanticized delusions, the young woman is unraveled to her core.
GRCT recommends the play for adults due to sensitive material and strong language.
The show takes place Jan. 10-26 at GRCT downtown.
Tickets are $18-$29 for adults and $16 for students.
