What’s better than watching cat videos to raise funds for needy felines?
Viewers will get the opportunity to do both next month at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts in Grand Rapids.
The film distributor Oscilloscope is teaming up with CatVideoFest, a social purpose corporation, to entertain audiences across the country with communal viewings of cat videos while raising money for cats in need through partnerships with local cat charities, animal welfare organizations and shelters.
CatVideoFest will screen at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (UICA) in Grand Rapids on Feb. 22.
A portion of ticket proceeds will go to Carol’s Ferals.
More information about the one-show-only event, which is $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers, is available at uica.org.
CatVideoFest is a compilation reel of “the latest and best” cat videos culled from countless hours of submissions and sourced animations, music videos and “classic internet powerhouses.”
