$7M flagship lab to open on Ann Street

Haviland Enterprises, Inc. has announced a new Ann St. laboratory which will open in 2025.

“Our new lab is not only an investment in Haviland’s technical capabilities, it also offers new value to our customers, opening the door for further innovation in our target markets of water treatment, surface finishing, and contract manufacturing.” said Rob Pawson, Vice President of Haviland Products Company.

The 100% employee-owned company pro­vides ana­lyt­i­cal lab­o­ra­to­ry ser­vices and logis­tics sup­port to its customers. In business since 1938, the company has spawned brands such as Pro­Team and SpaPure, as well as pri­vate-label­ prod­ucts for nation­al­ly rec­og­nized pool cen­ters. The company is currently pursuing growth in the water treatment market as water conservation efforts expand nationally. The 11,000-square-foot facility will provide the space required to advance product development and pilot new formulations within Haviland’s core markets.

The Grand Rapids based company, started by research and development chemist, J.B. Hav­i­land in 1934 has been employee owned and operated since 2012. Today, the company has more than 300 employees spread across six manufacturing and warehousing facilities across the U.S.
