There’s nothing like getting an early start on spring — or at least thinking about it.
The Grand Rapids Remodeling & New Homes Show is taking place today through Sunday at DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids, at 303 Monroe Ave. NW.
Show times are from noon-9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
The show features a designer showcase with completely finished rooms by local designers and furniture retailers, a construction zone for children’s activities, seminars, panels, exhibitor booths and more.
Seminars by local and national experts on the Build-It Stage will explore the various stages of planning a project through financing and contracting, DIY considerations and the latest products and innovations.
You can get hands-on training in electrical work, drywall repair, ceramic tiling and plumbing from the experts at the Grand Rapids-based Home Repair Services, as part of the show’s DIY Homeowner Series.
Amy Matthews will also make appearances on the Build-It Stage throughout the show. Matthews is the host of “Renovation Raiders” on HGTV and has been featured on numerous television shows and in newspapers.

The Grand Rapids Remodeling & New Homes Show is hosted by the Home Builders Association of Greater Grand Rapids.
