Camp Newaygo Chef Shows Off Culinary Skills with Dinner on the Ridge

Camp Newaygo chef Chris Gribble is showing off his culinary skills on Saturday night with a special three-course dinner overlooking the lake.

Gribble is the executive chef at Camp Newaygo, 5333 Centerline Road in Newaygo, where he runs the camp’s catering operations. Gribble is in charge of Ridge Catering, providing on-site and off-site catering services.

He will host a dinner for up to 140 people on the camp’s patio from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The night’s menu includes a first course of portabella ravioli with lemon wine sauce, a choice of crab stuffed jumbo shrimp or chicken magarettzi, and fromage blanc cheesecake with blackberry jam for dessert.

The night includes a performance by musician Steve Troyer. Billed as the “the one-man band,” Troyer’s performances span old country westerns to Bruno Mars.

Individual tickets are available for $28 and $50 per couple. Reservations will be taken through Thursday this week.
