After closing its doors eight months ago, Elliott’s News announced it will reopen downtown.

The 105-year-old newsstand will move into the lobby of McKay Tower. Coincidentally, the newsstand originally operated in front of the McKay Tower building.

Elliott’s will occupy 700 square feet of space in the tower’s first-floor lobby in a space behind Freshii. The space is currently being renovated.

McKay owners estimate the suite will be done in September and Bill Bennett, Elliott’s owner, estimates the store will be open soon after.

Elliott’s News operated most recently at 50 Monroe. The business ceased its operations due to disruptive building renovations.
