Renowned for its rich
character and architectural craftsmanship, Heritage
Hill inspired the direction of Design Home 2007. With
direction
from architect Wayne Visbeen, AIA, IIDA, the design team’s
collective vision revolves around a shingle-style home
with direct ties to the past — and today’s
lifestyle.
“This home will feature a lot of retro detailing and authentic,
historic qualities, but is a much updated plan,” Visbeen
noted. “Our goal is to create a home that will
live big but not extravagantly large. An eclectic shingle-style
of architecture lends itself to a more casual lifestyle,
to a home that’s more friendly and interesting
with great nooks and window seats.”
An open floor plan is key to Design Home 2007’s
livability. The kitchen, dining room and family room
flow together with traditional elements people gravitate
toward, including a large fireplace and inviting deck.
A kids’ wing over the garage, luxurious master
suite and design elements that afford this plan great
flexibility as family needs change augment its appeal.
“From concept to completion, this is a fully custom home,” said
Chad Cassiday, president of LaCati Homes. “As a
design team, we are systemically removing any reason
why you wouldn’t want to live here, cabinet by
cabinet, door by door, wall by wall. What we do is always
about the customer — what they want not just for
now, but 10 years from now.”
