A biking app focused on beginner-level on-road, off-road, commuter and recreational biking is available in Grand Rapids.
Experience Grand Rapids announced a recent partnership with My City Bikes, which creates biking guides specific to geographic areas. Each app includes comprehensive, government-verified maps of current bicycling infrastructure as well as basic maintenance and safety guidelines, contacts for local beginner-friendly retailers, and health and wellness providers.
The My City Bikes app is free and available for Apple and Android phones and tablets. It can be downloaded through the iTunes App Store or the Google Play App Store.
Ann Arbor is the only other Michigan city with a My City Bikes app.
