Mac & Cheese with a Twist
Craving a burger with your mac & cheese, no problem. Rocky’s Bar & Grill has you covered with Mac the Cheeseburger. This burger is topped with homemade macaroni & cheese, BBQ sauce and caramelized onions.
On the go? The Maine Dish Food Truck offers a seafood mac & cheese with either lobster or crabmeat.
At CitySen Lounge you can get mac-n-cheese bites, described as cheddar and parmesan macaroni, herb encrusted with asiago cheese and panko breadcrumbs, served with sweet marinara.
Stella’s Lounge might offer the cheesiest combination with its Toasted Stoner Grilled Cheese. It’s made with white American cheese, bacon-jalapeño mac & cheese, more bacon, tomato, and spicy habanero mustard on toasted Nantucket French bread.
Lucky Luciano’s might be a pizza place, but you can still get your mac & cheese cravings met with the mac & cheese with bacon pizza.
Mad Dogz in Comstock Park has the Mac Daddy hotdog, made with bacon, mac & cheese, jalapeños and fried onions.
Gravity Taphouse Grille’s Boss Mac for “bosses” is a combination of applewood-smoked bacon, fresh tomato, cheddar and Swiss cheese.
Garage Bar & Grill’s Drunken Mac includes candied ham, vodka cream sauce, pureed red peppers and asiago cheese and is topped with panko.
The Mighty Mac at Little Lucy’s Café is a heaping bowl of seashell pasta, BBQ pulled pork, cheese sauce and haystack onions.
Slows Bar BQ offers an authentic southern style mac & cheese that’s oven baked and made to go.
Grand Rapids Brewing Company’s Brewhouse Mac & Cheese is made with large shell noodles, pork belly lardons, shallots, garlic, pepper-jack cheese sauce, blue cheese crumbles and saltine cracker crumbs. You can customize your meal by choosing from a number of additional add-ons, too.
HopCat’s Killer Mac & Cheese is made with seashell noodles and smothered in cheese sauce.
Green Well’s mac & cheese is made with corkscrew pasta, chicken, ham, bacon, peas, caramelized onions, mushrooms, four cheeses, breadcrumbs and white truffle oil.
Terra GR’s house-made canestri pasta mac & cheese is made with pastured bacon, broccoli, roasted tomatoes and a four cheese sauce.
Twisted Rooster has four mac & cheese options, the most unique being its kimchee steak mac & cheese, which is a mix of cavatappi noodles, bold white five cheese blend with spicy Korean kimchee cabbage, topped with sliced filet crisp snap peas and a fried egg.
Little Lucy’s also offers a vegan friendly mac & cheese. The Vegan Mac is made with seashell pasta, cashew cream sauce, “bacon” and chives.
